Having taken the time to write about a topic she strongly believes in and is very passionate about, Peggy Weekes is anticipating the pending release of her book A Mix of Two Worlds: Nature’s Best from the East and the West for Optimum Health.
Peggy is very interested in helping others, as well as herself, navigates the journey of achieving optimum health through a variety of natural means.
As a great way to start off the new year and get people thinking about their health, Peggy and her church recently organized a health and wellness event. To achieve a good return on the investment of time and effort put into her event, Peggy plans to send out a survey to follow up on what went well, what participants liked and what can be improved upon for her next event.
Using social media combined with more traditional methods of communicating has been very effective for Peggy in terms of spreading word of her events.
Peggy says setting up a booth also helps extend the services that she is offering. She ensures that marketing material is printed and displayed. During a recent event, Peggy pre-sold her book at a discounted price as well as gave those who bought a book a free offer of QRMA testing wherein the health products she distributes will be recommended based on their needs.
“I did get a lot of vendors who were interested in participating in the event but some I had to regretfully decline, either because their products were not suited for the event or there were other involved vendors offering the same products or services.”
The bottom line? Peggy receives more potential leads for her business because she continuously follows up with both attendees and vendors by email.
