“There are things we can control and things we can’t, so why not start with what we can?”
This phrase echoed in Peggy Weekes’ mind when, at the lowest point of her life, she was made to choose between living an unfulfilled life or learning to love herself and welcome the rest of her life!
Additionally, surviving a life-changing event has helped Peggy Weekes, a speaker and an author of the book A Mix of Two Worlds: Nature’s Best from the East and the West for Optimum Health, to shift her focus to what really matters in life, which she shared in an article titled, ‘Leaving the Rat Race and Learning to Love Yourself’ published by This Woman Can magazine.
This Woman Can is an online new hub and a digital magazine which shares stories that empower women and young people, providing them with the knowledge, confidence, and drive to realize and maximize their life journey.
In the same article, Peggy also revealed that her near loss experience (Peggy’s mother suffered from a ventricular aneurism) made her leave the rat race—being an under-paid and an under-utilized employee—and enjoy living a life, making a difference as an author and helping other people achieve optimum health through natural alternatives.
Peggy enthuses, “There was no way that I was going to let anyone determine my worth. I know who I am and what I want to accomplish. To this end, I have decided to walk away from the corporate world and step fully and completely into my future and see where the road leads.”
Indeed, Peggy’s road has lead her to success being an author of A Mix of Two Worlds, a book that encourages us to go back to basics, to the place where it all began and to use nature as it was intended as well as other natural means to improve our health.
