In finding the road to success and happiness, one must take the wheel, shift gear to full speed and be the driver of their own destiny. One must also be brave to put oneself in the driver’s seat, plan the route to take and take courage to drive in the different direction if the road is a dead-end.
Suzanne Duncan has just done that and shared her journey with SheSavvy, a platform which provides dynamic women everywhere with the ability to empower, inspire, and educate by creating and sharing of knowledge, experiences, hopes, ideas and dreams
A single parent to three wonderful kids, Suzanne Duncan became the sole provider and source of strength of her family after her husband lost his battle to cancer. Suzanne strived and looked out for her children at the same time managed her household amidst the loneliness and emptiness she felt when her husband died. For a time, Suzanne managed it well. So well, that she began to live comfortably but perfectly ordinary…Plodding through life but not really living it.
However, an exciting event she attended shook her out of her comfortable seat and took her to a journey of transformation. Suzanne realized that she does not want to live a comfortable lulled life anymore. She wanted to take charge of her life and be the driver of her destiny.
Inspired by Tony Robbins words, “Life is about moments, don’t wait for them to create them.” Suzanne lived the moment, took control and drove on a journey to help others especially single parents to survive the lonely and at times bumpy road to the world of single parenting through her book, All by Myself, & Rocking It!: How to Be Successful at Single Parenting.
Suzanne challenged, “Imagine yourself being the driver. Where would you go? What would you see? How would you be?”
