To better appreciate the meaning of Travangelist and the heart-centeredness of Daniel Lantis is to understand a life's journey—a journey filled with adventure, spiritual awakening, success, failure, and, most of all, a profound need to serve. Always focusing on the positive, Daniel considers his life a blessing, a life chockful of divinely guided moments which he simply defines by sharing, “I just got goosebumps, man!” At the age of 15, the young, irreverent, and ambitious Daniel was already acknowledged as a leader and innovator. His commitment to the Eagle Scouts molded him to set lofty goals and to work hard to achieve them.
After proudly serving his country in the United States Navy, Daniel's spiritual awakening led him to a life of service and inspiration to others. His christian ministry, based in San Diego, California, continually reminded Daniel that there is a bigger purpose in life: to humbly serve, to put the needs of others before yourself, and to trust in God.The year 2000 marked a profound shift in Daniel's life.
Mylene, his very own Travangel-Mate, entered his life, that once-in-a-lifetime heartbeat with whom he shares his hopes, dreams, and journey. Daniel and Mylene built a successful business and inspired others as motivational speakers across the United States.
Now, together with their son Michael, the Lantises are a beautiful example of combining faith, family values, and living life to its fullest, particularly through travel.
In Daniel's never-ending quest to enhance the life experience of others, he created the Travangelist Program. He knows the many blessings of travel can change lives and create opportunities, and this brings Daniel more inspiring, fulfilling, goosebumps moments all along the way. The Travangelist is also an author, travel franchise builder, and a promoter of luxury travel.
There are various obstacles why people don’t travel outside their back yards or cities.
These include physical, financial, fear and anxiety, and mental obstacles. Physical obstacles might include illness, pain, feeling too old or too young, or worries about being able to physically handle flights or bouncing around in the water. Financial obstacles include being unable to take off work or afford travel, as well as running out of money while traveling. Fear can be an obstacle for those who do not feel safe traveling alone, those who suffer from phobias like a fear of heights or water, those who are unsure about language barriers in foreign lands, and those who worry about getting lost while abroad. Mental obstacles might be thoughts that you cannot leave your house or back yard unattended or that no one will take care of your pets or children while you are away.
Other obstacles to travel include procrastinating, poor planning, negativity, or just plain failure to make it happen.
