MAGGIE GEORGOPOULOS – Capitalizing On Social Media Opportunities In A Big Way
Widely recognized as a leading authority on career development for women in male-dominated industries, Maggie Georgopoulos is the author of the soon-to-be-published book Up The Ladder In A Skirt: Solidifying Your Leadership, One Bold Step At A Time.
With her book already being acclaimed as a must-read for women in challenging roles globally, Maggie has taken advantage of numerous social media opportunities which have taken her credibility to a level well beyond that attained by her author status. Of note, she says each opportunity resulted from no more than a few minutes spent making the initial contact.
Maggie was the subject of a 45-minute interview on the Double C Coaching Confidence Bytes podcast. Feeling that the information she would provide listeners would be of great value to them, the podcast was billed as a special edition by the host.
In addition, Maggie was the subject of a leadership interview by Chad Bostick of Hello Tech Pro and was granted an hour-long sit-down on the Speaking With TJ Walker show. This November, she’s booked for an interview with Judy Hoberman for her radio show, Selling In A Skirt.
As a result of her podcast exposure, Maggie earned a place in early September with the Virtual Women’s Empowerment Summit.
“The aim is to get all of these up onto my website in the next week or so…it’s just making the time to do that.”
“When they are posted, they will accompany an article I had published in Canadian Manager magazine. On my Facebook page, I also post information along with details of the summit opportunities I have received due to increased interest in me as a result of the podcasts and my book due to be published.” – Maggie Georgopoulos
A mechanical engineer who climbed to the top of the leadership ladder, Maggie was, at just age 32, the executive chairperson of a large agricultural company for which she was responsible for a 75% increase in the retention of staff via career development pathways.
Maggie has directly impacted the career choices and subsequent progress of more than 10,000 women in some 32 countries. Demonstrating her deep commitment to diversity and well-being, she is an ambassador for sustainable career development for women around the globe.
